Day 1. Mumbai – Kochi

Board flight from Mumbai for Kochi. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. In the evening, watch Kathakali dance performance as a cultural showcase of Kerala. Overnight stay.

Day 2. Kochi

After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Kochi. Kochi / Cochin is the natural port city created by the underwater mud-banks, ensuring the quality of the bay. The unique silt accumulation creates a unique demarcation between outer rough sea and calm water within the harbour. The sightseeing of this Queen of Arabian Sea includes a visit to Jewish Synagogue, Portuguese churches, Mosques & Hindu temples, Mattancherry Palace etc. Watch the Chinese Fishing Nets stretch alongside Fort Kochi. Overnight stay.

Day 3. Kochi – Alleppey – Houseboat

After breakfast, drive to Alleppey, a slice of Venice in Kerala (70 km / 2 hr). Upon arrival, hop on the ultimate backwater experience in the houseboat, that is scheduled to cruise from Alleppey to Kumarakom, another backwater destination during an overnight stay. The journey from Alleppey crosses the bewitching network of lagoons, canals and backwaters for a visually and soulfully stimulating experience. As one sails through the lagoons, the villages alongside the rivulets come to life, as swaying coconut palms welcome the tourists with great zeal. The standing ovation from paddy fields too mesmerizes the hearty traveller. The fisherman catching fishes through angling on this abundant paradise of backwaters is another great sight of local life. Lunch, dinner next day breakfast and tea snacks will be provided in the boat. The cool breeze from the Lake make you sleep early in the night after anchoring in a fancy place. Enjoy your overnight in the houseboat.

Day 4. Houseboat – Kumarakom

Arrive Kumarakom and drive to hotel. Later visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. This sanctuary is rich with a number of noteworthy species include the Dater or Snake Bird, Little Cormorant, Night Heroin, Golden-backed woodpecker, Crow Pheasant, White Breasted Water Hen and Tree Pie etc. overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 5. Kumarakom – Periyar

After breakfast drive to Periyar (135 km / 4 hr). Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Later visit tea and spice plantations or do a soft trek with escort in the jungle. Overnight stay.

Day 6. Periyar – Kochi – Out

After breakfast take a Boat safari in Lake Periyar inside the Periyar National Park. Later drive to Kochi which is around 185 Kms / 5 hrs drive. On arrival, transfer to Airport to board the flight for onward destination.
